Dr. Maricel J. Perez hails from the sunny island of Puerto Rico, where she grew up in a small industrial town. She developed an interest in science and healthcare at an early age, and after her father suffered an accident that impacted his teeth she knew she wanted to become a dentist. After high school she attended the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus, where she obtained her Bachelor of Sciences degree, graduating with high honors.  She received her doctorate in general dentistry at the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine before completing two years of Advanced Education in General Dentistry sponsored by NYU Langone Health. She has completed numerous advanced courses in aesthetic dental techniques, dental photography, as well as the prestigious Maxicourse dental implant training at Nova Southeastern University.  Dr. Perez is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry as well as the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, having completed the first step towards becoming an associate fellow of this group. She has been serving the local communities in South Florida since 2018, always committed to providing exceptional service in a friendly environment. In her time off, she enjoys cheering on the Miami Heat and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and her dog Cora!
